Sweetness

The summer is quickly approaching and my heart and mind turn again toward Haiti.  God has again provided for me to spend about five weeks in Port Au Prince at the Christian Light School and Children's Home.  I'm so looking forward to seeing how the children have grown and hearing what they have learned over the past year.  I will again be working with the teachers during the month of July, trying to encourage and support them in their work of educating the future of Haiti, a work that is being guided by the love of Christ.  I can hardly wait to see these dear friends again and work and learn together.

In the midst of my chaotic planning and end of school year activities in New Hampshire, I can only think about the sweetness that is to come.  The Lord has used the time in Haiti over the past two summers to teach me so much about Himself and His faithfulness.  I have seen and experienced the sweetness of fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ that reaches deeper than any other bond.  And so, if you all don't mind a weak play on words, I thought I should include some old photos of some of the kiddos enjoying some "sweetness" of a different kind (sugarcane).

Thank you to my friends and family for your loving support and faithfulness in prayers as the Lord guides me back to Haiti.  Thank you also for following along with me on this continuing journey, your words and prayers are indeed a sweet encouragement to me!  Love in Christ, Jessie
